As an experienced traveler I appreciate a little extra and the unit I stayed in didn’t disappoint. The unit was very well taken care of, clean to the point of the bottles were lined up in the cupboards. Literally everything you could expect or need was there. I appreciated all the communication telling me exactly what and what not to do. This is not a hotel after all. This is my goto in Chicago from now on.

This property was as spectacular as the website said! The views were absolutely amazing! Each doorman on shift was always helpful and friendly! So convenient to the Jewel next door! We were in walking distance to everything that we wanted to do in the city. Perfect location!! The penthouse was stocked with all the essentials! So impressed! Comfortable, roomy, and absolutely perfect! Did I mention perfect? Simply was. We will be back for sure!

We had a wonderful stay. Indeed, we’ve already told many of our friends about the property. It worked very well for us. We loved being close to both the river and the lake. And the views at night are truly magnificent. The common areas were also great (gym, pool, track, basketball court, etc.).

We literally rented got dupped thinking this was a lux “penthouse” …Not….assuming the place had a secure upscale feel, the worst part were the owner’s constant emails, text before we even arrived…I think I counted four handwritten posters of not what to do in their “penthouse”, family felt is was not the least bit nicely decorated with the cold leather sofa, and double bed with rock hard pillows… in a double bed…..when we finally settle in we have to leave so they can repair the TV’s….left early..not fun..

Our second visit to Penthouse at Grand Plaza – staying in the larger penthouse this time. The owners are excellent communicators and keep in touch before, during, and after your visit. The unit was immaculate and squeaky clean. The Second floor desk area outside the Master Bedroom was perfect for Zoom meetings required during our visit with stable wireless internet. Glass wall on the east side of the unit provides unparalleled city and lake views, keeping you rooted in the urban vibe that is Chicago. We enjoyed our stay with a couple that are good friends and enjoyed great times together but also enjoyed the solitude of being on separate levels. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need including spices, a varieyt of sweeteners, paper towels, napkins, zip locks, etc. The onsite grocery store is super convenient and also carries wine, beer, and liquor. The era of COVID-19 certainly curtailed in-person dining at restaurants but carry-out, delivery, and outdoor dining were all available. Just blocks from the Miracle Mile – shopping is a breeze. There is a Red Line stop just outside the building opening up the whole city for exploring. We frequently stay in VRBO units across the world and this unit is in our top-five favorites! Highly recommend.

This unit is as it appears in the photographs. The condition, views, and location are excellent.

Great location and very clean, comfortable, nice property. Great for our group of adults and kids. Would recommend!

The condo was amazing, the views were spectacular, and conveniently walkable to Chicago’s hottest restaurants and bars.
